Our Story

Hello gorgeous and thanks for visiting! My name is Becky {Robbins} Group. I am the Owner + CEO of Simply Styled {formerly Fit For A Princess}. In November of 2010, I completely stumbled into the small business world. What started as a fundraiser selling handmade tutus, bows, and children's clothing, quickly evolved into a fun little side hustle. I spent the next 8 years, working full time as a pediatric nurse and ran S|S on the side for fun.

In 2018, I realized how much I loved getting to give back through my little business. I began adding boutique items to the handmade goods I carried and everything seemed to just take off from there. By the end of the year, I rebranded to Simply Styled and shifted our primary focus to womens wear.

As the business grew, it also became apparent that I was going to have to make some hard choices to develop a work life balance. In 2019, I turned my basement into an area where friends and family could come and shop and by November of 2019, I dropped to part-time as a nurse and opened our first storefront! By July of 2020, my now husband {Steven} and I agreed that it would be best for me to leave the corporate world, and dedicate my time fully to the business I had grown to love so much. It was especially hard to leave my patients, but it has been such a blessing to be able to give back to the community in ways I never dreamed possible.

In April of 2021, I purchased a building in the tiny village of Cedar Creek, Nebraska. This particular building was known for its pirate ship bar and might be remembered as Annas, Marias or Cedar Creek Steakhouse to many of the locals. After 3 months of blood, sweat and literal tears, we were able to give the abandoned space a much needed face life and new life. In August of 2021, we opened the doors to Nebraska's first "Boat-ique" + Bar. We offered a full menu of beer, wine, and cocktails to enjoy while shopping.

Two short months later, our lives were turned upside down when our beautiful firstborn son, Auggie, was stillborn at 30 weeks gestation. I found my passion for the boutique + bar quickly subsided. I was struggling to balance grief, life and what our future held. In May of 2022, I made the hard decision to list the property for sale and we closed on the sale in October. Two weeks before closing, we welcomed our precious baby girl, Letty, into the world.

I have transitioned Simply Styled to online only and it has truly been the biggest blessing. While I miss seeing so many of your smiling faces in the store, nothing will ever compare to getting to spend my days at home with my girl.

I am forever thankful for your unwavering support, the friends I have met along the way, and our ever growing S|S "girl gang". Without you, I wouldn't get to be living my dream. And for that, I cannot thank you enough. -XoXo, Becky
