I’m Becky.

I’m a mom, a former pediatric nurse, and a small business owner who learned through experience that doing everything “right” doesn’t always make life easier. Sometimes it just makes it heavier.

Simply Styled exists because I reached a point where I needed things to work with my life, not against it. My home. My routines. My business. My expectations of myself. I stopped chasing perfect systems and started building simple ones that could flex when real life showed up.

That shift changed everything.

WHY SIMPLY STYLED EXISTS

For a long time, I tried to optimize every part of life. Better routines. Better systems. Better plans. And while structure can be helpful, I learned the hard way that systems only work if they support the season you’re actually in.

This space is about:

  • Simple organization that doesn’t require constant maintenance

  • Flexible systems that bend when life gets messy

  • Mom hacks that save time and mental energy

  • Honest perspective on motherhood, work, and capacity

Nothing here is meant to be aspirational or polished. It’s meant to be realistic, helpful, and sustainable.

LIFE, WORK, AND BUSINESS

My experience with small business didn’t start recently.

In 2010, I unintentionally built my own small business in clothing and retail. What started simply grew and evolved alongside my life for the next fifteen years. That business changed forms, priorities, and scale as I did, and it remained part of my life until 2025.

Throughout all of it, my husband, Steven, supported every wild idea I ever had. From the earliest days of figuring things out as I went, to the pivots, pauses, and reimagining that came later, he’s been the steady presence encouraging me to try, learn, and keep moving forward.

Building something for that long taught me more than any course ever could. I learned about content, branding, websites, customer connection, and what it actually looks like to run a business through changing seasons, shifting capacity, and real life.

Alongside that journey, I now work behind the scenes with other women-owned small businesses through social media management, website builds, branding, and content strategy.

That lived experience shapes how I think about both life and business. I believe growth should feel sustainable. I believe systems should make things lighter. And I believe it’s okay for businesses to evolve, pause, or change direction as life changes.

At the moment, my client capacity is full, and Simply Styled is not a service-forward space. This site exists primarily as a platform for shared experience, grounded ideas, and honest storytelling, rather than as a booking page.

That said, I genuinely love helping small business owners. If you ever want to reach out to share ideas, ask a question, or explore the possibility of working together in a future season, you’re always welcome to send a message.

A PIECE OF MY STORY

Motherhood has shaped me in ways I never could have anticipated, both in the moments everyone sees and in the ones they don’t.

After losing our son, Auggie, I felt a deep pull to do something meaningful with that love. Out of that came the stillbirth support boxes I now donate to families walking through early loss. They’re free of charge, simply as a way to offer comfort, acknowledgment, and a reminder that they are not alone during an incredibly painful time.

This work isn’t the focus of Simply Styled, but it is woven into who I am and why I care so deeply about supporting women in real, tangible ways.

If you’ve experienced loss, I want you to know you’re not alone.
And if you haven’t, thank you for holding space for those who have.
