True to size. What the heck does it even mean?
Here at S|S, we simply use this term as a tool to help you with sizing. It’s not perfect or exact, but it gives you additional information on the fit. It simply means that our model stayed with the size they most often wear.
We currently have models who represent sizes small, medium and large (and hope to add more for extended sizes in the near future).
Elle is 5’9”, 125lbs, 32B and most often wears a size small:
Steph is 5’4”, 160lbs, 34C and most often wears a size medium.
Becky is 5’8”, 155lbs, 34DD and most often wears a size medium.
Tif is 5’4”, 190lbs, 38D and most often wears a size large.
If we say something fits “true to size” it simply means that our models wore the size they most often wear. If we say they sized up or sized down, it means they went up or down from their usual size.
Not sure how to find your “true to size”? I recommend taking a quick look at your closet! What size do you find the most of? If you have 25 tops that are size medium, 10 that are size small and 5 that are size large - your “true to size” is most likely a medium.
If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading! We hope this information helps you find your BEST fit every time.
